The first time I tried this Brazilian Lemonade was at a restaurant called Tucanos (Brazilian Grill). I was immediately hooked! It was refreshing, sweet, citrusy, and creamy all in one drink!

The best part was the unlimited refills, but since I don’t make it out to that restaurant more than once a year, I’ve made my own version at home and I can have it any time I want!

The secret ingredient that makes this limeade so delicious is sweetened condensed milk! I could drink that straight from the can as it is, but put it in limeade and it’s a whole new level of delicious! Sweet and tangy, this drink will be gone in a flash!

  1. As a brazilian, I must say that we call this a Swiss Lemonade, and you MUST cut out the middle white part from the lemom, it will make it way tastier.

  2. Making it tomorrow for Fathers day! Excited, I know it will be Great! It’s been so hot here lately..nice cool down…will respond tomorrow of how it went! ♡

    1. So I tried today and it was a big success! ♡ will be saving this recipe and using it on different occasions! B-)

      1. I’m so glad! Thanks for coming back to report your experience Steph!

    1. Awesome! I hope you love it!

  3. Living here in Brazil my whole life, I can tell you that’s not a standard brazilian lemonade nor (as someone said above) what we call swiss lemonade. That’s just a rare variation that’s not even that popular around here.

    1. Well, it’s on all of the menus at all of the Brazilian steakhouses that I’ve been to here in the U.S. Wikepedia describes “swiss lemonade” exactly like this drink (limonada suíça). And that’s unfortunate for you, because it’s really delicious!

      1. I’m brazilian and this is very common here in Rio de Janeiro and other places I went here in Brazil. We call it swiss lemonade and in some restaurants you can choose between sugar and sweet condensed milk.

  4. hello Amber..can you just peel the limes so its not bitter ? or do you have to use the whole lime ?

    1. I like to use the whole lime, but you can try peeling them first. You might need an extra lime or two to get a nice tangy flavor though.

  5. I made and it was yummy!

  6. Living here in Brazil with my Brazilian husband… we’ve had this several times. Here they call it “limonada suíça” (Swiss Lemonade). Good stuff.

    1. Swiss lemonade? That is too funny! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this drink!

  7. This looks delcious. I am heading out to grocery shop and buying limes and the milk. Do you peel or cut the lime peel off, or do you blend that into it too?

    1. You want to scrub your limes really well b/c you pulse them in the blender with your sugar-water. Then you strain everything & discard all the pulp/peel.

  8. I assume that what you mean by not making ahead is adding the condensed milk. The lime juice and sugar water should be fine making ahead..right? Not using limes much, I don’t know how they keep or do when they are ‘out of their skins’ ! Let me know ! I’d like to try this, especially since we have some Brazilian friends and I’d like to make this for them !

    1. Denise,
Yes, I guess I should be more clear. You can make everything ahead of time, just add the sweetened condensed milk right before serving. Now that it is warming up here in Utah, I think I better get to making more of this! My favorite!

  9. I love Brazillian Lemonade- My husband lived in Brazil for a few years, so he always wants me to make this. Thanks so much for linking up another great recipe!
