I mentioned before that this recipe only takes 3 ingredients… it’s true! You need Oreo cookies, sweetened condensed milk, and a high quality vanilla/white chocolate chip. I HIGHLY recommend Guittard chocolate because there is no wax in it like some of the other brands. It melts beautifully and creates a smooth fudge.
I don’t know about you, but candy making is kind of intimidating. The candy thermometers, the special techniques, etc. This recipe really is a no brainer. Melt the white chocolate with the sweetened condensed milk, add bits of Oreo cookies, spread it into a pan, and let it sit until firm. That’s it!
I like to make a variety plate of treats to pass out to neighbors for the holidays, and with a recipe this simple, I won’t be in the kitchen all day!
What do you like to make for your neighbors during the holidays? Is fudge on the list?
Oreo Fudge
Ingredients
- 14 oz (396 g) can sweetened condensed milk
- 18 oz (510 g) high quality white chocolate chips, (approximately 1 ½ bags or 3 cups)
- 3 cups Oreos, chopped (approximately 20 regular Oreo cookies)
- Optional: ⅛ tsp salt
Instructions
- Prepare an 8×8-inch pan with wax or parchment paper that comes up the sides of the pan so you can pull out the whole slab of fudge once it sets.
- Melt the white chocolate chips with the sweetened condensed milk (and salt – optional) in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Stir in the chopped Oreo cookies, saving a few pieces to press into the top.
- Pour mixture into prepared pan. Quickly spread fudge evenly with a spatula. Press extra chopped Oreo cookies on top. Let rest at room temperature until set. (Refrigerating the fudge will help it set faster.)
- Pull the fudge slab out of the pan using the edges of the parchment paper. Using a warm, dry knife, cut squares. Store at room temperature in an airtight container for 5 to 7 days.

Wondering if anyone has tried it with unsweetened condensed milk? I used white chocolate chips (chippit brand). We don’t have much for options here. But I find it so sweet it is hard to eat. Wondering if there is a way to cut a bit of the sweetness.
This fudge is SOOO good! Everyone loves it!
I just tried this recipe today, and it turned out pretty great! The only thing is, it was quite sticky and that made it a little bit difficult to transfer it into plates and eat it whatsoever.. any suggestions or advice?
You may want to put it in the refrigerator to firm it up some more.
It was easy to make but the fudge part did not have the creamy texture that is expected with fudge, I’ll have to either tweak this one or look for a new recipe. Fudge has to be creamy and then the Oreos Add the crunch.
I have tried it…easy and simple. Though i used different brand of sweetened condensed milk it was still delicious…tq amber. My kids love it
Thanks for your comment! Glad it was a success!
I wonder if one could put food coloring in it, example: green or red for xmas, orange for Halloween, swirl red and blue into the white for the fourth?
Water based food coloring will make the chocolate seize. You would have to use a candy coloring oil and try to have it the same temperature as the chocolate.
Can you use plain chocolate chips, I just can’t stand white chocolate.
Yes, that should be fine.
I tried this yesterday. I only had 1 bag of white chocolate chips so I reduced the amount of sweet condensed milk to 10 oz which is about 3/4 of the can instead of the entire can and it was perfect. I was nervous that it was going to be sticky and not set but after a couple hours in the fridge it was perfect.
Awesome! Glad you were able to make it work with what you had!
Thank you for this simple recipe, it’s next on my list to make with my girls. I’ve just made another one with mint tim tams which worked out awesome & was gone within a few days! Sometimes though for other users, I found that if you heat the chocolate & condensed milk too fast or for too long, it does cook it & may not set properly. Just a thought anyway 😊 Thank you again for sharing. Cheers from Australia 😊
Yum! Tim Tams are so good! Great idea! And thanks for your tip on not heating the chocolate and condensed milk too fast or too long.
My pleasure 😊 Made your oreo fudge & was a huge hit with my girls. Worked perfect 😉
Ok so this fudge is divine!! It turned out picture perfect and delicious. I followed your recipe exactly and I am delighted with how easy it was, I have never tried to make fudge before. I definitely took your advice and bought the best white chocolate. Where I live that brand is Ghirardelli, the same brand I always use when I make my mousse. It is more expensive but totally worth it! Thanks!
